Swim at SBC Conference Meet

Edison Chargers Swim Team traveled to Perkins High School on Saturday, January 11th to compete in the SBC Conference meet.  Logan Trizna, Corbin Thayer, Jacoby Valimont, and Jack Woodward placed 3rd in both the 200-yard Medley Relay and the 200-yard Freestyle Relay.  Jacoby Valimont placed 2nd in the 100-yard Butterfly and 4th in the 50-yard Freestyle.  Jack Woodward earned 6th place in both the 50-yard Freestyle and 100-yard Freestyle.  Corbin Thayer placed 5th in the 100-yard Freestyle and 6th  in his 100-yard Breaststroke.  Logan Trizna was 4th in the 100-yard Backstroke and 10th in his 100-yard Freestyle.  With a great team effort from all four swimmers,  the Chargers placed 5th overall.  The next meet is Wednesday, January 15th  at Margaretta.  Go Chargers!

Swim at Port Clinton Quad

The Edison Chargers swim team traveled to Port Clinton High School on January 4th to compete against Tiffin, Vermilion, and Port Clinton.  Corbin Thayer placed 5th in the 200-yard Free and 3rd in the 100-yard Breaststroke, Logan Trizna was 4th in the 500-yard Freestyle and 4th in his 100-yard Backstroke, Jacoby Valimont had a 1st place 100-yard Butterfly and 2nd place in his 200-yard IM and Jack Woodward had 3rd place finishes in the 50 and 100-yard Freestyle. The Chargers Medley Relay placed 5th and the 400 Freestyle Relay placed 2nd.  Saturday, January 11th in the Chargers Conference meet at Perkins High School. Go Chargers!

Swim at Norwalk Multi Dual

The Edison Chargers Swim team traveled to Norwalk Rec Center on Tuesday, December 17th to compete in a multi-team dual meet hosted by Norwalk High School.  The small but strong team of Corbin Thayer, Logan Trizna, Jacoby Valimont, and Jack Woodward placed 3rd overall.  The Boy's relay team placed 2nd in the 200 Freestyle Relay and 1st in the 400 Free Relay!  Jacoby led the Chargers with a 1st in the 100-yard Butterfly and 2nd in his 50 Free.  Logan also had a 1st place finish in his 100 Backstroke and was 3rd in the 200 Free.  Corbin placed 2nd in the 100 yards Free and 4th in the 50 Free.  Jack Woodward was 5th in his 100-yard Freestyle.  The next meet is Saturday, December 21st at Margaretta High School.  Go Chargers!

Swim at Oberlin Invite

Edison Chargers Corbin Thayer, Logan Trizna, and Jacoby Valimont swam in the Oberlin High School Invite on December 7th.  11 teams from multiple divisions provided the Chargers with plenty of competition.  Edison finished 10th overall.  Jacoby led the team scoring 22 points with a 7th-place finish in the 50-yard Freestyle and 9th in the 100-yard Freestyle. Logan was next, earning 15 points with a 8th-place finish in the 100 yard Backstroke and 15th in the 50 yard Free.  Corbin added another 13 points with a 10th-place 50 Free and 15th in the 100-yard Free.  The next meeting is December 14th at the Hawk-Bucci Natatorium in Fremont.  Go Chargers!

Swim at Danbury Invite

The Charger's Boys Swim Team swam in their first meet of the season on December 5th at Danbury High School competing against Sandusky, Willard, Danbury, Vermilion, and Old Fort. Corbin Thayer, Logan Trizna, Jacoby Valimont, and Jack Woodward all had strong finishes in both their individual events and relays giving them a 3rd place overall finish. The Chargers Swim Team's next meet is the Oberlin Invitational on Saturday, December 7th. Go Chargers!
