Girls Basketball vs Clear Fork - District Semifinals

The Edison varsity girls lost a hard-fought game against Clear Fork in the district semifinal game last night.  After being down by double digits at the half, the girls made things interesting in the 3rd quarter.  They put together a huge run and cut the lead to 7.   Unfortunately, they couldn’t close the gap beyond that point but their effort was outstanding.  Jorja Byington led the team with 15 points and 8 rebounds.  Ivy Kluding and Ella Booth tallied 9 points apiece and Taylor Moore chipped in 7.  Congrats on a great season, girls!

JV Girls vs Port Clinton

The JV lady chargers moved to 12-4 in their season after their loss Thursday night to Port Clinton. Brooke Dickman led the team with 12 points by hitting three 3 pointers and Delaney Fields pitched in 8 points. The girls will face Firelands at the thunderdome tomorrow for their last game of the season! On Saturday 25 to 36, ending their season with 13 wins and 6 losses. The leading scorers the last game was Brooke Dickman with 6 points while Tessa Moore and Macari Harris pitched in 5 points each. Annabelle Seville led the team with 4 steals while Macari Harris pulled down a team high of 7 rebounds. Great season girls and best of luck to the Varsity during tournament play!

Girls Basketball vs St. Paul

The varsity Girls basketball team earned a win over the St Paul Flyers yesterday, 65-25.  Stella Brown led the team with 13 points, followed by Brooke Dickman who added 11.   Ivy Kluding posted a well-balanced stat line, finishing with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals, and 4 assists.  Ella Booth and Jorja Byington had 8 and 7 points and both finished with 8 rebounds apiece.  The team has a quick turnaround as they will host Clyde on Wednesday.  Good luck girls!

Girls Basketball vs New London

The Edison varsity girls team picked up a big non-conference win over New London yesterday, 57-42.  Ivy Kluding paced the Chargers with 21 points and 3 steals followed by Stella Brown with 16 points.  Jorja Byington also added 8 points and Taylor Moore chipped in 7.  It was a great team win for the girls.  Their next game is Friday where they will travel to Huron. 


The JV Lady Chargers defeated New London 49-14 last night.  Leading scorers with 12 points apiece were Macari Harris and Delaney Fields. Assists were led by Annabelle Seville and Delaney Fields. Navea Yamanouchi pulled down 5 offensive rebounds while Peyton Taylor led the team with 4 steals! The girls will take on the Huron Tigers Friday night at Huron! Come out and support your lady chargers!

Girls Basketball vs Crestview

The Edison girls varsity team traveled to Crestview last night and picked up their 7th win of the season.  Ivy Kluding led the team with 12 points followed by Stella Brown who finished with 11 and added 3 steals.  Jorja Byington chipped in 6 points and Ella Booth had 5 with 8 rebounds.  Taylor Moore had a big defensive night, tallying 8 steals.  The team’s next game is on Saturday where they will host Margaretta.  Good luck girls!

JV Girls over the Break

Over break the JV Lady Chargers moved to a record of 8-1. They defeated Tiffin Columbia 34-24 with leading scorer Macari Harris with 11 points and Brooke Dickman with 6 points! They fell to Margaretta in a close game 30-31 as Brooke Dickman hit three 3-pointers leading the team with 11 points and Delaney Fields pitched in 5 points and two steals. Peyton Werner led the team with 7 Rebounds! On Saturday, the JV team defeated Port Clinton 41-39 in overtime with Kellyn Ritchie hitting two significant 3-pointers, leading the team with 10 points! Peyton Taylor pitched in 6 points and Brooke Dickman pulled down 9 rebounds! They will head to Ashland Crestview on Wednesday!

Girls Basketball vs Western Reserve

Edison varsity girls traveled to Western Reserve last night and picked up a win, 45-28. The defense set the tone and controlled the game from start to finish.  Ella Booth led the team with 10 points and 8 rebounds, followed by Ivy Kluding who finished with 8.  Stella Brown also chipped in 7 points.  The girls are back in action on Thursday where they will travel to Willard.  Good luck girls!

Girls Basketball Vs Bucyrus

The varsity girls basketball team traveled to Bucyrus on Wednesday evening and came home with a win, 48-35.  Ivy Kluding had a solid all-around game with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists.  Stella Brown and Jorja Byington each chipped in 9 points apiece.  Jorja and Ella Booth battled on the boards, each finishing with 9.  The team’s next game is Friday evening where they host Huron.  Good luck girls!

Navea Yamanouchi led the team in the scoring column with 8 points, followed by Delaney Fields with 7 points and Macari Harris pitched in 6 points. Annabelle Seville led the team in steals with 4! and Peyton Werner led the team on the boards with 5 rebounds! Come support the girls tomorrow night at the Thunderdome as they take on Huron!

Varsity vs Monroeville

The Edison Girl’s varsity basketball team won a tough game at home last night against the Lady Eagles from Monroeville by a score of 40-33.  Stella Brown led the Chargers with 10 points and 6 steals.  Jorja Byington had a strong 4th quarter and finished with 9.  Ivy Kluding added 7 points and 9 rebounds.  Taylor Moore stepped up big with a huge defensive effort   The Girls next game is Friday where they will travel to Vermilion.  Good luck Chargers!
