Morning Announcements for Thursday, December 19th

The Edison Charger Wrestling Team had a dominant performance last night defeating Mohawk 48-29 and Port Clinton 54-29. Wrestlers going 2-0 were Urijah Ojeda, Mason Hermes, Josiah Walbom, Max Limberios, Luke James, and Joel Smith. Great job Chargers!

Morning Announcements for Wednesday, December 18th

Edison varsity girls traveled to Western Reserve last night and picked up a win, 45-28. The defense set the tone and controlled the game from start to finish.  Ella Booth led the team with 10 points and 8 rebounds, followed by Ivy Kluding who finished with 8.  Stella Brown also chipped in 7 points.  The girls are back in action on Thursday where they will travel to Willard.  Good luck girls!

Morning Announcements for Tuesday, December 17th

Edison Boys Basketball traveled to Mapleton Saturday night to take on the undefeated Mounties.  After an incredible back-and-forth game, the Chargers were victorious in overtime 73 to 68.  Leading the Chargers in scoring was Luke Whiley, who scored 18 points.  Davin Wendt had 16, while Cole Leimeister and Coltyn Meagrow both had 15 each.  Coltyn Meagrow also pulled down 8 rebounds.  Balanced scoring and handling the pressure from Mapleton was the reason for the upset.  The Chargers are now 1-1 and look to continue their success at home on Tuesday against Gibsonburg.  JV tip is at 6 pm.  Come out and support the Chargers!

Morning Announcements for Wednesday, December 4th

The Boy's bowling team had a rough start to the match but rallied back to cap off the match with a win! Hayden Lewis led the way for the Chargers with a high game of 204! Kaden Mees had a great night in the lanes with a 159-151 for a 310! The Chargers took down the Polar Bears with a total of 2,062-1353.  On the Girl's side, it was a nail-biter all the way to the end, but there's room for improvement. Rory Conrad led the way with scores of 162 and 145 for a total of 307. Leah Gill was second highest for the girls with scores of 145 and 138 for a total of 283. The Polar Bears topped the Chargers with a total of 1534-1446.

December Student of the Month

The Berlin Heights Kiwanis are pleased to announce Grace Anderson is the December Student of the Month at Edison High School.

     

Grace has been chosen for her contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.  Grace’s school activities:  Cross country and track (State Qualifier and All-Ohioan); Student Council President; Drama Club (Council Secretary and Thespian); Speech & Debate (Vice President, State Qualifier and National Tournament Alternate); Mock Trial; Key Club; Interact Club; National Honor Society; Spanish Honor Society; recipient of the College Board Rural and Small Town Recognition Program Award.

 

Grace will be attending the United States Naval Academy after high school where she plans on commissioning as a Surface Warfare Officer after graduating from the Academy.  Grace is the daughter of Jay and Sarah Anderson of Norwalk, Ohio.
