Morning Announcements for Wednesday, April 2nd

Attention juniors and seniors: If you plan to bring a guest from another school to prom on May 3rd, you will need to fill out a guest form prior to buying a ticket. You may pick up a form outside the main office or from Mrs. Liz Davis in room 606. Prom tickets will go on sale April 23rd.

Morning Announcements for Tuesday, April 1st

The Lady Chargers picked up 2 wins Saturday over Firelands.  Game one Peyton Taylor was 4-4 with 3 rbi.  Adison Wechter added 2 hits and 3 rbi.  Abby Cloud threw a 1 hit shutout to get the win. Game 2 Peyton Bissell collected 2 hits and 3 rbi and Lariah McMinn started her first varsity game and got the win going 6 innings striking out 2 and giving up 4 earned runs.  

The LADY CHARGERS run their record to 4-2 with a 7-0 win over Tiffin Columbian.  Abby Cloud went the distance, throwing a no-hitter and striking out 8.   The offense was led by Peyton Taylor and Lariah McMinn, each with 3 hits. Stella Brown added a home run and 2 RBI, and Natalie Desautels chipped in with 2 hits.  Great team win!!!!

Morning Announcements for Monday, March 31st

Is there a teacher or staff member who has really helped you during your time at Edison? Now is a chance to show them your appreciation by nominating them for the Milan Rotary Golden Apple Award. Forms can be picked up in the library, and they need to be returned to Mrs. Tinnel by April 25th.

Morning Announcements for Friday, March 28th

Interact Club has set up volunteer opportunities with Back to the Wild, in Castalia, OH. We will be volunteeringon  May 3rd and 4th. Anyone, whether you are a part of the Interact club or not, who would like to participate can sign up by scanning the QR code posted on the flyer located on the Interact Club bulletin board. If you have any questions, contact Ezri Rutger or Mrs. Roan.

Morning Announcements for Wednesday, December 4th

The Boy's bowling team had a rough start to the match but rallied back to cap off the match with a win! Hayden Lewis led the way for the Chargers with a high game of 204! Kaden Mees had a great night in the lanes with a 159-151 for a 310! The Chargers took down the Polar Bears with a total of 2,062-1353.  On the Girl's side, it was a nail-biter all the way to the end, but there's room for improvement. Rory Conrad led the way with scores of 162 and 145 for a total of 307. Leah Gill was second highest for the girls with scores of 145 and 138 for a total of 283. The Polar Bears topped the Chargers with a total of 1534-1446.

February Student of the Month

The Berlin Heights Kiwanis are pleased to announce Ingrid Berckmueller is the February Student of the Month at Edison High School.

     

Ingrid has been chosen for her contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.  Ingrid’s school activities:  Class President; Student Council; Interact Club Officer; Speech & Debate (national alternate, state competitor in poetry); Mock Trial (attorney and witness); National Honor Society Treasurer; French Club President; French Honor Society; currently working on obtaining her bi-literacy seal in French; Soccer (All-Star, District 2nd Team, Charger Award recipient); track (regional competitor, highest point scorer for girls team, coach’s award recipient); Buckeye Girls’ State; honor roll; President’s Award of Academic Excellence recipient; State Trooper Program member; and 4-H (champion beekeeper, state competitor, outstanding national resource exhibitor).

 

Ingrid plans to study biology and history with a minor in French at Washington and Lee University.  She also plans to attend graduate school to purse a law degree. Ingrid would like to work overseas in France or a French-speaking African region helping young women and children in less fortunate areas of life either through her profession or volunteering. Ingrid is the daughter of Fritz and Bethany Berckmueller of Milan, Ohio.
