Reading Is Sweet!
Edison Elementary held their annual kick off assembly for our Certain Read program this morning. We recognized 87 students, in grades 1-3, for participating in our summer reading program. Students were required to read 12 books over the summer and complete the Summer reading form and turn it in.
Beginning the week of September 9th, students in grades 1-3 will begin learning to use our new reading program, Accelerated Reader. It is very similar to our previous program and I am confident they will master it in no time. They will also begin checking out library books so look for them to come home in your students book bags. Please remind your student to keep water bottles away from their books!
Information for library volunteers will go home in the coming weeks. Questions regarding our library and reading program can be directed to Mrs. Grames. Thank You!
Relax and READ!!!
