Morning Announcements for Wednesday, May 8th

For Lunch:  Mini corn dogs, daily grab and go, custom salad, buffalo chicken pizza, baked beans, fresh veggies, fruit choice, milk


The varsity baseball team beat Willard 10-6.  Carson Smith got the win, pitching 5 innings and giving up 5 hits with 7 strikeouts.  Abe Hermes struck out 3 in 2 innings of relief to get the save.  Cole Leimeister led the offense with 2 hits and 2 RBIs.  Blake Simon also had 2 hits, while Gabe Dymond, Carson Smith, and Marcus Medina all had one hit.


The Boys track team competed on day 1 of the SBC Bay division meet last night at Huron. The 4x8 team of Chase King, Everett Gfell, Jacoby Valimont, and Jackson Michaelis Placed 2nd, Everett Gfell took 8th in the 2 mile. J Williams took 2nd in discus and 4th in shotput, Corbin Thayer took 5th in shotput and Jack Woodward took 6th. Jace Jeremay took 3rd in pole vault and Karl Kromer took 7th. Rounding out the night was Trayvon Williams the SBC Bay division champ in long jump with a jump of 22' 2.5". Great Job Boys! The team will compete in the finals this Friday at Clyde.


Tomorrow, May 9th, there will be a quick sign-up for any boys and girls interested in going out for high school golf after school in Mr. Cecolli's classroom.


Hey Wildcats! Come see the Show Choir's performance of High School Musical on Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 pm in the auditorium. Tickets: $6 for students & seniors and $7 for adults


Sources of Strength is asking that you wear green on Monday, May 13. May is Mental Health Awareness Month and May 13 marks the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Week. Support your peer leaders by participating and enjoying the music that will be playing in between class changes. Music can be a very helpful coping tool that we encourage you all to use!


The Melon Festival Queens contest is for high school girls entering their junior or senior year at Edison High School.  It is a scholarship program where the Queen and her court get the opportunity to travel around Ohio and represent our town and the Melon Festival!  Any future junior or senior girl who is interested in running please contact Mandi Richards, Queen coordinator at 419-602-3245


It is time to cash in your Do RIGHT tickets. We are starting Winner Wednesdays and will have Do RIGHT prizes available in the concession stand over lunch periods for the last four Wednesdays. There are three different prize levels - 2, 5, and 7 tickets. You can start cashing your tickets in on Wednesday, May 8th.


Attention class of 2026: the position for your junior class treasurer is contested between Sophie Baker and Katie Cumston. You will find a ballot in your email; please read their speeches carefully and vote for a candidate by this Friday, May 10th. Good luck to Sophie and Katie!


Writing Club members who are attending the state competition tomorrow should report to Mr. Ceccoli's room immediately after morning announcements for a brief meeting.


To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month in May, Sources of Strength has planned several activities throughout the month aimed to support the mental health of our students and staff. One activity we are offering is a guided meditation or yoga class every Wednesday during the Charger Period in the Wrestling Room.  Please sign up on the Charger Period Activity sheet to join us for some calm and relaxation during this busy time of year. No experience necessary! All are welcome!
