Happy birthday to Arianna Heyl and Adam Frederick!

Today at 3:30, boys golf will be at home with Vermilion. At 4:15, girls golf is home with Margaretta, also at 4:15, girls tennis is home with Calvert. At 5:00, varsity boys soccer is at Old Fort, and also at 5, varsity girls soccer is at home with Norwalk.

The Edison Girls Varsity soccer team lost to state ranked Crestview by a score of 5 to 1. The lone goal for Lady Chargers was scored by Aliyah Caporini. The Chargers will be back in action on Monday with a home game against Norwalk at 5pm.

This past weekend the Edison boys and girls cross country teams had successful races at Ohio’s largest cross country meet. The boys team placed eighth in a very competitive field of 44 Division 2 teams while the girls placed 13th in the ultra-competitive Division 2 “A” race.
Leading the way for the boys were the junior duo of Tyler Coon and Daniel Lambert who placed 6th and 7th respectively out of 304 runners. Also medaling while placing 33rd was senior Jon Hrivnak. Rounding out the scoring for the boys was freshman Aiden Anderson and sophomore Dax Austin. Again leading the way for the girls was Abby Lesniak who placed 7th and was only one second off her personal record by running a fine time of 19 minutes and 17seconds in the mud and rain. Following Abby across the finish line was senior Isabel Chasney and sophomore Katie Jeremay. Also scoring for the Lady Chargers were Isabellah Linder and Lindsay Sneider.
Up next for the Charger runners is the Galion Cross Country Festival this next Saturday.

If anyone is interested in purchasing a fall sports program they can be picked up in the athletic office for $3 each.

Book Club will meet after school next Friday, 9/14, in Mrs. Wobser's Room 203 to select our first read of the year.  Come with suggestions:)  Snacks will be provided.  Hope to see you there:)

Attention French Club!  We are looking for t-shirt designs.  If you have an idea or are artistically inclined, turn your design idea in to Madame by Friday, September 14th.  We will vote at the meeting on September 18.

Anyone interested in being a French Club officer should stop in and see Madame sometime this week.

Auditions and crew interviews for Don't Drink Drink the Water are this week Wednesday and Thursday. Information is available on the way board.

Congratulations to this year's Speech and Debate officers. President - Miranda Morley, Vice President - James Anderson, Secretary - Megan Morley, Treasurer - Katie Otto, Debate Captain -Lexi Weyer, and Historian - Will Duniver.
Ms. Baughman will be meeting with students after school in the response lounge today. Be sure to stop by to pick a piece!

There will be a brief meeting Tuesday before school at 7:40 in the auditorium for any student interested in joining Key Club.  Key Club is a service organization that is sponsored by the Berlin Heights Kiwanis Club.  Key Club members will be involved in activities that benefit local, state and world-wide charities.  All students are encouraged to attend this informational meeting.

Interested in giving back? Interact is still looking for members who love doing community service!  Sign up sheets are available in the library now! Stop by and pick one up!

The first National Honor society meeting of the school year will be Tuesday Sept 11 after school in Miss Cull's room. All inducted senior members need to attend.  Juniors who have met the requirements for membership, you will be receiving an invitation in homerooms in the next week with information about our first meeting.

Attention Winter Sport Female Athletes Not Involved in a Fall Sport  - The weight room is open on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30. See Coach Moyer if you have any questions.
