Happy Birthday to Isabellah Linder, Cas Mastropaolo & Autumn Canterbury!

Today at 2:00, varsity wrestlers will be at the Archbold duals. At 5:00, Boys basketball will be at home with Vermilion. On Saturday morning, JV wrestling will be at Clyde Invite. At 10:00, the varsity wrestlers will again be at the Archbold Duals. At 12:30, boys and girls bowling will be at the Sandusky Tournament, and at 5:00, boys basketball will be at home with St. Mary’s.

Varsity girls and boys bowlers traveled to Fostoria last night to take on Lakota.  The boys got a big win.  Brandon Goodrich was high bowler for the boys shooting a 181 and a 225.  The girls team dominated by over 400 pins.  Girls high roller for the night was Lily Shover with a 189 and a 173.

The varsity girls basketball team improved their record to 5-1 on the season with a thrilling come from behind victory last night over Tiffin Calvert 45 to 43. Mariah Medina paced the balanced attack with 11 points and 4 steals, while Lilli Schuster and Hannah Vitaz added 8 points each. Molly Houser and Jessica Stoll both tossed in 6 points. Stoll and Vitaz led the assault on the boards with 7 rebounds each. The junior varsity girls also improved their record to 5-1 last night with a 28-22 win over the Senecas. Olivia Vitaz led the way with 10 points and 5 rebounds, while Eliza Brickner and Lilli Schuster contributed 5 points each. Leigh Anne Lambert and Lindsay Roberts rounded out the scoring with 4 points each.
The Lady Chargers return to action next Friday when they travel to Huron. Hope to see you courtside.

Publications has started taking orders for the 2018-2019 yearbook.  Please turn in the form given to you by your homeroom teacher to Mr Murray along with a check for $60 made out to Edison High School.  You can also order an EHS yearbook from jostensyearbooks.com.  

Attention Math Club members:  There will be a short meeting on Monday, Dec. 17 at 2:50 in Mrs. Wally's room. Please bring any items for the Ohgo Christmas boxes  or a monetary donation so that items for the Happy Christmas boxes may be purchased by Friday, Dec. 14.

Attention Drama Club members, the registration forms for area conference and the intent forms for state conference are due in the high school office by the end of the day.

Speech & Debate team, be sure to sign up for January tournaments! Miss Baughman will be here after school for anyone wanting to look at speeches.

Attention Edison students who like read and  volunteer their time - Early readers is a volunteer club that goes to Edison Elementary on Tuesday mornings from 7:10 - 7:50.  You will read with an Edison elementary student every week for 4-6 weeks.  It’s a commitment.  If this is something you would be interested in please stop by the library for more information and sign up! You can also see Mallory Stiles if you have any questions.  

Ho-Ho-Ho Christmas is only one week away and it’s the perfect time to show off your school spirit. This Monday- It’s Santa vs the  Grinch where you choose between Santa and wear red or the Grinch and wear green! On Tuesday- it’s dress as your favorite christmas character like Cindy Lu Who, The Grinch, or Frosty the Snowman. Wednesday is wear your holiday hats and socks! Thursday is wear your PJ’s to school! On Friday- Wear your Ugliest sweater! Student Council has some great plans to make your holiday week a blast!

Any student interested in joining the speech and debate team in Public Forum debate should attend a meeting after school on Tuesday, December 18th immediately after school. Mr. Amstutz will go over the new public forum debate briefs for the January topic as well as PRO and CON cases.  If you want to compete in this debate event, you MUST attend this one time only meeting.  It will last until 4:30 p.m. and will be held in the Conference Room.

Choir council is selling candy and hot chocolate bags for $1 today through Wednesday the 19th. Part of the proceeds will go to the Salvation Army in Norwalk. You can purchase a bag during homeroom from a choir council member or after school in the cafeteria.
