On Friday, November 10, 2023, Edison Middle School hosted an assembly to honor our local veterans. The assembly began with our veterans, staff, and students standing as the American flag and the flags of our various branches of the armed forces were carried in. Liam Woodward lead everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.  Our principal, Mr. Smith, gave the opening speech to greet the entire assembly. Mrs. Rosekelly, Edison Middle School music teacher, arranged for patriotic songs to be sung by the fourth grade music classes. Ella Duniver, Ryelle Faller and Saxon O'Neal read various essays dedicated to the veterans.   Hannah Whiteman  informed us about the student and faculty tribute presentation.  Veterans in attendance were recognized and given a small token of our appreciation by the student council representatives.  Kearstyn Fluty and Gannon Mesenburg played taps to end our program. Following the program Edison Middle School Parents Club provided refreshments to our honored guests.  We would like to acknowledge these staff members Mrs. Putnam, Mrs. Rosekelly, Mrs. Shanle, Mr. Enzor and Mrs. Bishop for helping organizing this special event.
