Congratulations to Jonah Main and Nick Strecker as they were selected to play in the NCOSSCA Senior All-Star Soccer Game game this Sunday at Crestview High School. The game kicks off at Noon.

Boys Soccer Sectional Champs!

The boys soccer team had a great battle on Saturday.  The boys defeated Cory-Rawson 3-2 to
become Sectional Champions! Goals to get us started came from Nick Strecker with an assist
from Alex Davidson, the second goal was a laser shot into the net by Alex Davidson with  Jonah
Main strategically finding Davidson at the top of the box. The game winner in the last half of the
match saw Gabriel Serna Amaya, a freshman, connect to Senior Jace Jermay and the game was
sealed.  On Wednesday the boys travel to Tiffin to face the top seeded Liberty-Benton.

Sectional Semi-Final vs Huron

The boys soccer team won their sectional game vs. Huron last night. They were led by Goalkeeper Samuel McClester and the rest of the Senior No Goal Boys Nick Strecker, Langdon Day, Isaac Sloan, and Noah Proctor. Stellar goals were buried in the back of the net by Jose Serna Amaya in the first half on a laser-placed service from Alex Davidson.  Later in the half Kellen McDonnell powered through the defense and put the second goal in the back of the net. Finally, Jose closed out the match with some clever moves to get into a position to seal the victory.  A total team effort all around last night.  The Boys will travel to Cory Rawson on Saturday for their second playoff match.

Soccer vs Wauseon

The boys soccer team traveled to Wauseon on Saturday. The match proved to be a good battle and served as a good playoff tune up. Wauseon won 3 - 0 and 2 - 0 in the JV match.Congrats to all the reserve players for their efforts this past fall. The first team will play Huron in the first round of the playoffs.

JV vs Norwalk

The boys reserve team earned a hard-fought draw against Norwalk last night. The field conditions were less than ideal with rain falling for the majority of the match. Edison struck first when Austin Peck delivered a strike from 30 yards out that found the top corner of the net. Gavyn Blackburn scored the second goal of the match when he finished a pass from Gabriel Serna-Amaya. Serna-Amaya scored 2 goals in the second half to put the Chargers back ahead. After a couple of tough breaks, the Chargers found themselves tied with 10 minutes left. The back line of Trevor Leimeister, Gabe Dymond, and Wade Ruggles held strong as Norwalk went on the offensive to preserve the tie. The reserve team ends their season on Saturday at Wauseon.

Varsity Soccer vs Willard

It was a night to remember, the boys First team soccer team defeated Willard by the score of 1 - 0. The No Goal Patrol was in full operation last night as Captain and Goalkeeper Samuel McClester led the No Goal patrol of Isaac Sloan, Langdon Day, Jace Jermay, Noah Proctor, and Captain Nick Strecker. Jace Jermay was the man of the match as he skyed above the Willard defense to redirect a service into the box, almost breaking the net Jace lasered the ball for the go-ahead goal and match winner. Jace's goal was made possible by a fabulous service from Senior Jonah Main. Outstanding play by the rest of the squad helped make this a memorable night for the boys and their families.

JV Soccer vs Bellevue

The JV boys soccer got their first win of the season by defeating the Bellevue Redmen by a score of 2-1. Cody Blackburn started the scoring for the Chargers by following a deflected shot and placing the ball into the back of the net.  Trevor Leimeister added the second goal for Edison by stealing a ball from a Bellevue defender, dribbling through 3 more, and putting his shot high and past the goalkeeper. Conner Blackburn and Jace Pinkston played a solid game in defense.

Boys Soccer vs Sandusky

Last night in Sandusky the Boys soccer team was back in winning form as they defeated Sandusky HS 6 to 1. Laser goals were scored by Jose Serna Amaya and Jonah Main.  Later in the match, High-flying Jace Jeremay went airborne and scored a stellar goal with a header. The night was capped off by Mr. Hat trick himself downtown Alex Davidson who scored 3 goals with his swiftness of an eagle and his blazing Chargers boots to send a statement back to the SBC that the boys are back in town. Good work lads.

Varsity Soccer vs Perkins

The boys Varsity soccer team lost to Perkins last night by a score of 3-0. Despite not getting the results, the boys fought hard until the end of the match. The team plays again on Monday against Port Clinton.
